Accessibility of e-EWSS versus Manual EWSS for Detecting the Emergency Condition among Patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019: A Survey Research on Register Nurse in Indonesia

BACKGROUND: The early warning scoring system (EWSS) during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is essential, because it will reduce risk of organ damage and death patients with COVID-19. Health professionals argue that EWSS be needed in electronic form, easier to use quick identify patient conditions an emergency situation. There no study provides information on comparison between Electronic (e-EWSS) manual accessibility among health a clinical setting. AIM: purpose this was analyze difference e-EWSS versus through survey research registered nurses Indonesia. METHODS: A designed study. conducted from July November 2021 38 at COVID-19 referral hospital Mataram city. Data were collected by questionnaire containing 12 questions related 19 participants intervention control group. RESULTS: response more positive, namely, 64.5%, while negative 35.5%. On other hand, for EWSS, negative, 51.6%, positive as much 48.4%. examinations using than p = 0.000. CONCLUSION:e-EWSS compared convenience, speed, effectiveness indicators. computerized capable performing calculations automatically about patients’ situations.
